The official objective
One team plants a bomb. The other stops the plant or defuses it. Each player has one life per round.
This rule is confirmed by the official Steam description. Detailed scoring limits, timers, team sizes and mode-specific unlock restrictions are not verified in the sources used for this guide. Read the current match settings and in-game objective prompts for those details.
Make each life count
The following is a reasoned practice approach based on the stated objective, not a claim of hands-on testing or a proven competitive strategy. Use it to decide what to observe during your own session.
- Identify whether your team is attacking or defending before moving. The bomb objective changes what a useful route and a useful fight look like.
- Share what you actually see. A short, accurate callout about a route or opponent gives teammates something they can use without relying on invented information.
- As the round develops, reconsider the objective rather than searching only for eliminations. A surviving teammate may need cover around a plant or defuse.
A decision to watch for
Taking the same solo peek you use in a respawn mode has a different cost here. Slow down long enough to know what a teammate can cover before starting the fight.
Try a focused bot session
The official bot-match feature lets you select a map, mode and match settings. Select Destroy The Block, read its objective indicators and practice one route. Check the game's own progress displays if you want to know whether the session advances any unlock; bot XP and challenge rules are not confirmed here.
