Essential site behavior
This website has no user accounts, checkout or contact form. Search runs against the site’s local article index. The RAM/storage checklist processes the numbers in your browser and does not submit them to a server. Language is selected through page links rather than IP-based redirects.
We store your optional-tracking choice in localStorage under hw2-privacy-v1. This is a preference entry, not an advertising identifier. Cloudflare delivers the site and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, URL and security logs to serve and protect it.
Optional analytics and advertising
Google Analytics is loaded only if an actual measurement ID is configured, you choose Allow optional, and the page is on the production domain. Local previews do not send production analytics. Analytics can process page views, device and browser information and associated identifiers under Google’s policies.
If a display advertising integration is configured, its reserved placement is labeled Advertisement. Adsterra code is not loaded before optional permission and is excluded from local previews. Advertising providers may use cookies or identifiers and their own infrastructure. This guide does not use popunders or forced redirects.
An empty integration setting means the corresponding service is not loaded. Granting a preference does not imply that an unconfigured service is active. Current integration status is shown below.
Public Steam player-count requests
When you request the player count, this site’s read-only endpoint requests aggregate data from the public Steam current-player API. Results may be cached for ten minutes and include a fetch timestamp. The endpoint does not ask for your Steam account, cookie, password or API key. An unavailable response is not replaced with an invented number.
Change or withdraw your choice
Use Privacy preferences in the footer, then select Essential only to withdraw optional permission. The site disables Google Analytics for the current page, removes its script and first-party analytics cookies where accessible, unloads advertising frames, and prevents optional loading on subsequent pages. A fresh page load applies the choice cleanly.
Previously transmitted data cannot be recalled by removing a script. Third-party cookies are subject to browser restrictions and may need removal through your browser settings. You can also clear this site’s local storage to reset the preference prompt.
